Waipā Networks Schools

Does your School qualify?

Waipā Networks owns and operates the electricity network that delivers power to Cambridge, Te Awamutu and the surrounding Waipā region. It is 100% owned by the Waipā Networks Trust and connects approximately 30,000 customers.

Waipā Networks has a history in the electricity industry spanning more than 100 years, with the establishment of two of the first Electric Power Boards in New Zealand in Te Awamutu and Cambridge. The Boards amalgamated in 1993 to form Waipā Power, and in 1998, we became Waipā Networks, the name customers are familiar with today.

Waipā Networks proudly sponsor Waipā Power It Up and Waipā Solar Cars. This is a bespoke sponsorship with Schools sitting within the Waipā Networks power supply grid, qualifying for these resources. If you are unsure, please check the list for your School before you proceed
