Sustained collection

This activity teaches sustained practice and observation over time. The discipline is one scrap a day, no more, no less. Students will be tempted to collect a week's worth in one session. Hold them to the daily rule. The grid format collects evidence of attention. By day seven, the page is a record of a week the student lived through. The three-word task at the end is small but matters. It asks the student to read their own collection as a text. What does the week look like when you flatten it onto a page?
